Once again, our proverbial "fly on the wall" comes in handy at the super exclusive Rich Man’s Club. Let’s listen in as two of the super rich elites sit and chat around the fireplace:
Rich man # 1 -- Seems to me that things have been going well for our class, what with our choice of presidents these past 5+ years.
Rich man # 2 -- Could not agree more with you. This new one has kept the "natives" in place with his rhetoric and style. That "Hope and Change" campaign has been so successful. (Laughing) I mean the guy has increased military spending even higher than under that fool Junior Bush. What is it now…
# 1 -- This past fiscal year 57 percent of discretionary spending has gone to our friends in the Pentagon and their allies in contracting. Under the Junior Bush/Cheney regime it was around 50 percent. Not bad.
# 2 -- And we’re still in Iraq…
# 1 -- (laughing) Never to leave.
# 2 -- We’re still in Afghanistan to the great delight of our Pentagon allies and contractors. The drone campaign is going well. The average American could care less about how many little children and women and old A-Rabs they kill.
# 1 -- Our Israeli friends love it. Soon they may begin using them…
# 2 -- For their protection of course…
# 1 -- Plus, all the saber rattling by our right wing politicians, media and Tea Party against Iran, Syria and now Russia is stupendous! They have the average sucker thinking attacks will be forthcoming.
# 2 -- September 11th sure was a bonanza for our side.
# 1 -- Amen to that!
# 2 -- What I love is how we have both parties fighting over the secondary issues and united upon the ones that matter most to us.
# 1 -- I mean who in the hell cares about two fags marrying, or how many bean pickers sneak over our borders.
# 2 -- Actually the more that come in the lower the wages we have to pay. Not bad.
# 1 -- Just like with Junior Bush/Cheney we got the cuts in entitlements we wanted in order to raise military spending. Now our current president throws a few bones out to the suckers for one dollar an hour increase in minimum wage, and more infrastructure spending…
# 2 -- Which our friends in business will just cherish with all those government contracts.
# 1 -- Notice how great his health care reform (laughing) is going. Our insurance industry friends just love getting 30 to 50 million more customers…
# 2 -- With those high deductibles to offset any small premium decreases and existing condition removals.
# 1 -- You see, I told you before, during the ’08 campaign, that Obama getting three times the amount in donations from our health care industry friends would cash out for us. "Public option" my ass!
# 2 -- Yes, no matter where we look, our side is on top…
# 1 -- And going to stay there too. By the way, who are you figuring to get behind in ‘16?
# 2 -- Does it really matter? Hillary, Romney, Christie, Cuomo… we own em all!!
