Scorched Earth -- Lighting the Fires (Major Dick)

  Jan. 20, 2007 -- Not a lot has changed in the ways of the world of George Bush. Seems he not only intends to keep ignoring the Constitution, his advisors on Iraq and foreign policy and the American people, but he intends to ignore the obvious, the United States has lost the war of terror against the Iraqi people.

  As someone with an interest in investing, I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to cut your losses and get out with what you’ve got left. Considering how Georgie boy is behaving about the conflict in Iraq, I guess it puts to rest any questions as to WHY all of his other ventures in business and private enterprise went to Hell in a hand basket, he doesn’t have the sense to know when it’s a lost cause.

   But back to the original thought: Starting the Fire that results in a Scorched Earth… reports are flying all over the planet that Israel is practicing bombing runs for dropping nuclear weapons on Iran’s three well known nuclear sites. Interesting enough is that the Intel being leaked about Iran’s nuclear bomb making capability is more then ten years off and that doesn’t seem to deter anyone’s plans to blast craters in the desert.

  Couple this leaked Israeli plan together with the deployment of, not one -- but TWO -- U.S. Carrier task forces AND the replacement of the General running the show in Iraq with a Navy Admiral tells me that the plan is to use carrier-based equipment to either backup the Israeli nuking of Iran or that the United States is going to do the nuking themselves from the carrier fleet. Then add into the mix that a third carrier task force may be deployed to the Persian Gulf and things begin to look pretty weird even in my warped little mind.

  Another flip of the virtual news pages and Lo and Behold we find that US military forces overran an Iranian diplomatic mission in Iraq and took the staff as prisoners. Now you know as I do that if some foreign powers military goon squad showed up at a U.S. diplomatic mission and took our citizens as prisoners, Georgie boy would be screaming about "blatant act of war" and all the other clichés he could muster up from his frazzled little brain now wouldn’t he.

  Then a tidbit shows up about how the United States has frozen the banking assets of certain Iranian businesses, individuals and government offices and it all begins to fit into a nice clear picture of what is coming and probably soon. All out nuclear holocaust in the Middle East perpetrated by the United States and it’s new poodle dog, Olmert of Israel. (Maybe he should be referred to as Georgies’ new pot bellied pig instead of a poodle.) 

  As we keep skipping around the virtual news pages, we find a lot of flak about how the Iraqi President doesn’t want the troop surge to take place AND we start to see reports that not only doesn’t al Malaki want the U.S. troop surge to happen, but he wants the U.S. troops to GET OUT! Seems that Mr. Malaki has been having a number of direct negotiations with President Ahmedinajad of Iran both publicly and not so publicly. Seems there’s meeting going on right now between Iranian missions and Iraqi and OTHER Middle Eastern nations diplomatic corps. Seems there’s a bit of scuttlebutt floating around the water cooler that Iraq wants Iran to replace U.S. troops with their troops. Considering that the U.S. mission in Iraq has managed to turn Iran and Iraq into one great big brotherhood of Shi’ite madmen I’d say it’s a good bet they’re on to something.

   The other story that makes me laugh till I wet myself is that Georgie boy is trying to tell us that the Iranians (a Shi'ite nation) are arming the Iraqi insurgency (the SUNNIS!) to fight against the Iraqi Shi'ite government! Now where in the Hell did that lie originate? Does anyone really think that Iran is going to be a protector of Sunnis and a supplier of weapons to them against what is basically an extension of their own Shi'ite Government? 

   And lest we forget the obvious, last week I happened to catch a news report on some obscure cable network that Dan Rather has been relegated to where the administration mouthpiece (his name isn’t worth remembering) was spouting off about how the DRAFT is going to be necessary in order for the United States to raise the 90,000-PLUS soldiers we’re going to need to fight this so-called war of terror. 

   And let’s not pass by the news that the United States is deploying Patriot Missile Defense Systems to our "friends and allies" in the Middle East to defend against any missile strikes that may be aimed at them in retaliation for… ??? 

   Then I start reading the "mainstream" government sanitized news and I find out that the Chinese have perfected the ability to knock satellites in space out with missile shots from the ground! Now if a land/sea/air war commences over the ChinAsian region of the world just how do U.S. commanders keep an "eye" on what’s happening in the area? Spy satellites.  What happens if U.S. spy satellites are "blinded?" The idiots commanding U.S. troops from the comfort of their easy chairs won’t have any clue as to what is really happening in the conflict now will they? 

   Interesting timing for the Chinese to be testing their ability to knock out spy satellites isn’t it? Could it be a subtle message, and if so -- to whom is it directed? Could it have something to do with China having a vested interest in Iran’s oil capability and with China just having executed (substantial) financial agreements with Iran for their oil product.  It might just be a warning shot across the bow of any great ship of state that is contemplating hostile action against one of Chinas allies. 

   So what IF the United States does become embroiled in a nuclear brew-har-hah with Iran -- does it really MEAN anything? Well I submit that it means a lot to the Chinese, considering that their economic well-being is so closely linked to the well-being of Iran. 

   And what pray tell, is the objective of the plans to nuke three Iranian nuclear development sites? To the untrained mind it is to simply destroy their ability to manufacture nuclear material. But to the military planner the object is to not only destroy the infrastructure supporting the development of said manufacturing facilities but to also kill thousands upon thousands of civilian contractors and workers to prevent the restarting of such research from occurring. In other words -- target and kill a large civilian population (gee, isn’t there something in that pesky ole Geneva Convention about that?) that is employed in the construction and development of power plant facilities. 

   So that begs the question be asked: WHO is providing the expertise for Iran to construct nuclear power plants and nuclear material refinement? Why, it’s our good ole pals, the Russians! Remember the Russians? Well they’re the folks who are selling their post cold war technology to the highest bidders and right now the Iranians are the winners. So tell me now, what do you think the Russians will do if the United States or Israel launches nuclear, or even conventional, strikes at construction sites populated by civilian Russian contractors and scientists? 

   I submit that if the United States or it’s pot bellied pig in Israel launches an attack against Iran that the Chinese AND the Russians will respond against U.S. forces and positions. I don’t know about you, but last time I checked BOTH of those countries' military forces had the ability to drop a nuclear weapon down the chimney of any house in the good ole USA that they wanted. 

   But I do know this, other nations, even those few that did participate in the war of terror against Iraq, are putting as much distance between United States and them as possible. What do they know that We the Sheeple don’t know? 

   Here’s what else I have ‘observed’… GOLD is skyrocketing again, no reason for it as the dollar is now below 1.30 vs. the Euro and holding steady. Gold tends to be a safe haven that money flees to when the money holders believe that the currency they hold may be debased in some significant fashion. It’s also a great place to park your wealth if you think that someone really stupid is going to do something really stupid. I’m betting on the latter myself. 

   I think that the last part of the Scorched Earth program that the White House resident has in store for United States is an all out nuclear war involving an attack by Israel against Iranian nuclear facilities. This will be followed by a no-holds barred nuclear attack against Israel in retaliation for attacking both a Chinese and Russian ally and business partner. Subsequent to this action the United States will retaliate against both China and Russia, wiping out a significant portion of their population while at the same time China and Russia will retaliate against North American positions wiping out a significant portion of our population… and, of course, our debt obligations. Hell of a way to balance a budget and fix Social Security, I say. 

   Considering how dangerous the United States is these days, if I were sitting at the helm of the Chinese or Russian governments, I’d be twisting the whole scenario around a little bit. Keeping in mind that the U.S. president has completely changed the requirements for nuclear and/or conventional attacks to a pre-emptive state rather then a defensive state, maybe, just maybe, I’d be thinking about something that Georgie boy has never been able to quite grasp, knowing when you’re fighting a battle you can’t win, a/k/a cutting your loses. If I were sitting in the Kremlin or in Beijing I might just have the cover off the missile launch buttons right now. Why give the enemy the chance to make the first shot? He isn’t going to miss, but if he wounds you first, you just might not be able to take him. 

   I’d also be yacking with the other fella' who’s got his cover on the launch button lifted too. Maybe if we coordinated our "button pushes" we could catch the other guy napping and use his own strategy, pre-emptive attacks, against him in a way he never thought was possible. 

   And given that Georgie boy has told the world that he plans to escalate this war regardless of what the world, the Iraqi government, the American people or it’s Congress say about it, I’m guessing we’re about six weeks away from some really bad times. 

   Somehow Americans have been lulled into a false sense of security in that they seem to believe that the other nations of the world are just too stupid to deal with United States on the same level. They believe that the Americans are the good guys and that we’d never throw the first punch, never mind throw a sucker punch, at an opponent. 

   Well, whatever you believe is irrelevant now. Our children are reporting to military bases for deployment to the Middle East in less than three weeks time. A third aircraft carrier group is completing it’s repairs and refitting on the California coast and will soon be deployed to… who knows where, but I think we all have a pretty good idea, don’t we. That third carrier being deployed publicly to the Persian Gulf will probably be the last straw for the Chinese and the Russians my friends. The last thing they’re going to let happen is for the United States to get three carrier groups into the Gulf. As soon as it becomes evident that the Gulf is their destination I would suggest you find a deep hole to hide in for the next twenty years. 

   At first I thought Georgie's intention was to leave behind a Scorched Earth.  Boy was I wrong. He plans to leave nothing behind. 

   And one more thing, Jesus isn’t going to come riding down out of the Heavens to suck you Holier then Thou types off the earth before it’s destruction, OKAY? But maybe it's mankind's turn to be obliterated from existence like the dinosaurs were in order to make room for a new dominant species. I hope this time around Mother nature cuts way back on the machismo and testosterone genes.
