Aug. 23, 2012 -- 7:30 P.M. -- This week The New American Dream Radio Show welcomes David Marshak, author of Kids Need the Same Teacher for More than One Year, and science fiction / fantasy writer Chris Jackson, whose latest novelScimitar War will be available on Labor Day.
David Marshak has learned about the value of multi-year classrooms from more than 30 years of experience as a parent, teacher, school administrator, and researcher. He'll share some of his ideas and the motivation for his strong belief in 'looping.'
Chris Jackson has lived on a 45 foot boat with his wife Anne for several years; they sail the Caribbean, making friends and meeting interesting people along the way. It's not surprising that his Scimitartrilogy has to do with sailing and pirates... He's fairly prolific and has enjoyed success both critically and in sales, and we'll be asking him how he pulled that off! It should be fun.
I'm sure my co-host Mike Palecek will have lined up another great News From Mount Liberty segment, too--he and I always enjoy our vocal interplay in that part of the show.
