As a writer who adheres to the spiritual laws (most of the time anyhow), the Almighty agreed to an interview.
It, or he or she, or whatever you wish to label the Almighty, wanted someone as interviewer who was not well known or a celebrity media type. Thus, yours truly.
Me: So, with what you see from your perch in the heavens, how are we down here doing?
Almighty: Not well at all. You have religions -- that claim to speak for me -- which then participate in or encourage bloodshed and vengeance or, even worse (for their Karma), remain silent to such actions. I watch Muslims who take the time to pray to Allah several times daily then celebrate beheadings and suicide bombings... all in the name of Allah... which to them is ME.
Jews from Israel and those who support them in the USA treat the Palestinians basically in the same manner as the Nazis did to their recent ancestors. Such a holy place as Jerusalem has forgotten what those three religions preached 2,000 years ago and beyond that.
How about the many so-called Christians who follow HE who was ordained as my son, and even worship him as Almighty? What they condoned and approved regarding America's attacks upon the Middle East is to us in heaven nothing short of sin.
While I am on the subject of sin, the sin of torturing another child of mine or destroying their country all for reasons of empire and private profit... terrible. Or the Hindus who run India, who exploit their own people and still have the caste system that the Mahatma railed against, and call it "free market democracy"... outrageous! Need I go on?
Me: No, I get your points. What about the governments in most of the countries of the world?
Almighty: Show me even one where the rights of man come before those of power and profit? Show me one of any of the major industrialized nations where either their recent history or present agenda is not one of imperialism?
Whether it be an outright dictatorship, or quasi one, or so called democracy, the few in each country control the economics and the politics of the many. But, I gave you all free will, so I can only await.
Me: Await what? Is it Armageddon?
Almighty (laughing): Remember what Jesus and many of the mystics of all religions spoke about? The Christians remember it as "As ye sow so shall ye reap." The Hindus and Buddhists and other Eastern religions refer to it as Karma. It is a universal law... MY law. And so many do not either care or refuse to accept it. They will.
Me: Is there hope for us at all? Or are we so far gone down this road of ruin?
Almighty: Well, since you are from the West and especially the USA, I will concentrate on things from that viewpoint, OK? You have a current U.S. president who made his claim to fame on "Hope and Change." Too bad he did not follow up on his own mantra.
Yes, there is always a hope for real and sincere change. It is up to those of you who "see the light" of truth and forgiveness, and yes, even justice, to inspire the others of your kind to move in that direction.
It is written in the bible that so many of your people hold so dear: "Let justice prevail or may the heavens fall." It seems that each of your presidents and most of your public servants, throughout the brief history of your nation, have always ceded to the wishes of the wealthy and powerful few over the needs of the many.
Even your so-called "founding fathers" were very wealthy men who trusted not the lower classes or even the so-called ''middle classes" with the chance to lead your nation. This cycle has continued for these 200+ years.
One of our favorites within my domain was Frederick Douglass who eloquently stated: "Power concedes nothing without demand. It never has. It never will." Sadly, even for us from beyond your veil of dreams, so few of your fellows understand the power and the energy of the many. As in the story so many Christians love to recall, when the body of Jesus lay in the crypt and the Pharisees sent armed guards to get it, a slew of what you refer to as angels surrounded them in greatest numbers, with no need for weapons, and the guards ran off.
Well, I have to cut this interview short. I have to meet with Lucifer and go over his report on the free will of many down where you are. He has done great work for me on your plane of consciousness, giving choices for you all to decide upon. Without him things would sure be boring for me (laughing). Keep the faith... if you still have it... and keep up the good writings.
